Environmental Activities

At Workshop Kurumi, in order to provide opportunities to learn about environmental issues and think about what we can do and take action, we use Saturday as a half-day work day to engage in environmental activities in each group.

In the fifth year of Reiwa, the following five groups considered and worked on environmental issues from various perspectives.

(1) Nectar?Making Wrap
In order to reduce plastic waste, we used donated beeswax to make environmentally friendly plastic wraps.

(2) Raising awareness of food loss and waste
We researched food loss and put it into practice from familiar places, such as devising ways to make sure that there were no leftovers from our own lunch boxes.
At the bazaar held in June, the sale of onions donated by Mr. Shojima was a great success.

(3) Making wooden spoons
In order to reduce waste, we make spoons by scraping waste wood with knives and chisels.

(4) Separation of recycled paper
We learn about recycling from the flyers we received from Mr. Ekoraifu Hamamatsu and the Hamamatsu City Miscellaneous Dictionary, and separate the garbage generated at our offices.
The toilet paper cores used at the office have been converted into eco-pots to be used for growing seedlings.

(5) Hechimatawashi
In order to reduce plastic waste, we are trying to grow a snake and become a snake.

In addition, as part of our environmental activities this fiscal year, we conducted two beach cleanups at Ozawatari Beach.

In the next fiscal year, we will continue to engage in environmental activities that can be put into practice.

We are always looking for people who can sponsor the environmental activities that we are working on at Workshop Kurumi.
